She loved her new art kit

Yeahya, finally a big girl bed!

When I asked Mags what kind of cake she wanted, she made this face, & said "a monster cake." Random. But easy:)

Maggie Moo's First & Second Day

Doesn't she look old? I can't believe she will be 4 years-old in 4 days! Time flies. She loves her Strawberry Cake back pack & shoes. Especially the shoes! She is pretty funny about her precious shoes. She stores them in the box, in our closet, on top of Phillip's sock pile. So when it's a school day she knows exactly where to find them. And as soon as she gets home she takes them off, wipes them off with the kitchen towel & puts them right back in the box. Thanks Grandma for the perfect school shoes & back pack!

(This is her making sure I got her shoes in the picture! I tell ya she loves 'em!)

Some pictures on her second day. As soon as she got dressed and ready, she went by the door and stood for another picture :)

Jack, what was your favorite part of kindergarten? Recess. Classic.

Kindergarten stinks. Why do they have to go 5 days a week? Because of the Chinese? We need them to lower their expectations so we can lower ours. Then our kids would only have to go 3 days a week. I'll look into that and see what I can do before next year. (biting my nails, trying not to think about next year, first grade, 9:00am to 3:00pm, 5 days a week, AHHH!!!) When I asked Jack what his favorite part of kindergarten was; he quickly replied Recess. Classic. I'm sure it will stay that way through 6th grade. He also talked about sitting on the "green table" next to 2 friends. (He tried hard to think of their names, but came up blank.) He said he only made 3 friends yesterday: the 2 who's names he couldn't quite remember and, of course, the third friend's name is Maggie. I could have guessed. He loves anyone with the name Jack or Maggie. He said "I'm friends with Maggie because she has the same name as Maggie, mom. You know my sister Maggie?" Response in my head " Maggie? Is that what your father and I named her? And to think, I've been calling her Melissa this whole time. Crazy." My response out loud, "Yep, I know your sister Maggie and I'm glad you have a friend named Maggie too Bud." Anyway, I'm sure there will be much more to come.....

Maggie also went to meet her preschool teacher yesterday. Her first day of school is Sept 8th.
