Makin' Cupcakes

Jack and Maggie decorated cupcakes for summer school.

They sold them at the school market. Mags made Toy Story

cupcakes and Jack Spiderman. They held up their cupcakes

to the camera and said "Hi Lisa" while I took the picture.

Yep, she fell asleep in this is a little puppet stage thingie, it's pretty small, but she

just tucked herself right in. Weird.

This is what Jack and Maggie were doing while I was fixing dinner last night. First they built their tent all by themselves. (Sadly, I didn't get a very good picture of it but you can see it in the background) Then Jack went and got the flashlight and they were telling "ghost stories" in the tent. They were more weird than scary but they said "oooooo" a lot which I guess makes any story scary. Then they went to sleep. I don't know how Jack slept through all Magsies snoring, but he said he was well rested when he woke up 1 minute and 30 seconds later. Then he said it was time to build a fire, so he went down to his room and got his favorite stick (firewood) and said, "Mom we need a candle". After a 20 minute fire safety lesson we lit the candle and they roasted marshmallows over the open flame. They had a lot of fun camping inside maybe we'll do it this way every time!

Well around here we play Where's Maggie. Everyday Jack and Mags have quiet time in their rooms for an hour and occasionally Maggie will fall asleep. I have started taking pictures because sometimes it takes me a minute to find her. So can you guess where she is?

Summer fun

This picture represents potty training! Which is definitely not fun, but had Maggie not finished right before summer started our summer would have been one big mother-daughter power struggle. With lots of tears, sweat, tantrums and time outs on the mothers end of the struggle. I don't know how she came out of it smiling, but I'm sure glad she did!


Maggie had to have surgery at the end of May. She had tubes put in her ears.

Summer school! Maggie was super excited to go to school for the first time. And bonus she gets to go with Bubby.

I know this looks evil, but it is her "I'm super excited for the first day of school" face!

Phillip has been hiking a lot this summer and took Jack with him to see the waterfall. Jacker looks so big to me in these pictures. Sob. When did that happen? Overnight on June 6th, that's when.

I have no idea what is going on here! Crazy girl.
